A Critical Question on the “Lakshmi Bhandar” Scheme

Is the Lakshmi Bhandar scheme being used as a tool to divert the Muslim community from their faith? From morning to evening, many Muslims—especially women—are uttering “Lakshmi, Lakshmi” instead of remembering Allah and His Messenger. Is this not a cleverly designed attempt to change people’s religious consciousness?

One must ask—has this scheme been introduced to gradually turn Muslims toward another faith under the guise of government welfare? Using public money for such a purpose raises serious concerns. Could this be a subtle conspiracy to weaken the Muslim identity and faith?

We call upon the Muslim scholars (ulema) and community leaders to give clarity: Is accepting money from the Lakshmi Bhandar scheme permissible (halal) or impermissible (haram) for Muslims? Is it justified, or is it against our religious principles?

This is not just a question of money—it is about preserving faith, dignity, and identity.

O students of Bengal, O youth of Bengal — when will you awaken?
When will you rise up against corruption? Can you not spark a movement like Sri Lanka’s protests, or at least a mobilization like Nepal’s? Remember: the wheel of your destiny must be turned by your own hands. Stand up, lend your voice, and demand the future you deserve.

Bande Muktidar (Bande Ambedkar).
Jai Bhim. Long live Ambedkarite principles.
